Marana "Randie" Simon, known in the community as Gmaw, was called to Jesus on November 18, 2024.
She was born on May 8, 1947 and moved to Darlington in 1996, where her presence was known and felt throughout the community.
Chances are, you were blessed enough to have met this local lady. She was always offering kind words, sharing her joy over supersavings, making gift baskets, guiding the youth and offering a helping hand. An encounter with Gmaw made for a happier day or an interesting 3 minutes, if you happened to see her happy savings checkout dance. Unforgettable!
Randie shared her gratitude towards God, excitement for life, love for her neighbors and her contagious fun energy. Her happiness was not something she contained.
Marana was a phenomenal human, incorporated her love for the Lord in everything she did and lead many others to follow Him.
She leaves behind 3 children, Robin (Jenny) Rhodes, Brittny Simon and Brooklyn (Dustin) Dutton; grandchildren, Joel Rhodes, Kristin (Blake) Harrington, Peyton Rhodes, McKalyn Cramsey, Max and Adalie Sieb, Zyah and Kyren Dutton, Bruce and Brad Welshimer; and 4 great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her parents and daughter, Carol Rhodes.
Randie request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Calvary Chapel, Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County or Joyce Meyers Ministries.
A gathering to celebrate Marana's life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 2-4pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville.
Cremation was chosen with Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.
