Norman Earl Bennett, 93, of Zapata, Texas and formerly of Quaker, Indiana passed away Tuesday February 27, 2024, at Holland Lake Nursing Center
He was a retired maintenance mechanic at the Cayuga Generating Station.
He was born October 4, 1930, in Quaker, Indiana to the late Francis Marion Bennett and Iva Bell Dunivan Bennett.
His wife of 52 years, Rosalie Ellen Hickel Bennett whom he married June 19, 1954, in New Shawneetown, Illinois preceded him in death October 22, 2006.
Survivors include daughter, Jo (Mark) Wolfenberger of Weatherford, Texas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Bruce Bennett.
He was a member of the Hopewell Friends Church. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 9, at 11:00 am in the Hopewell Friends Church in Quaker with Deborah McClarey officiating. Burial will follow at Thomas Cemetery in Newport. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday at the church.
