\n\nROCKVILLE-Opal Wittenmyer, 92, of Rockville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. She was a homemaker. She was born September 24, 1930, in Springbrook, Wisconsin to the late John Smedley and Leora Jent Smedley.\n\nHer husband of 74 years, Robert E. “Bob” Wittenmyer whom she married March 22, 1947, in Bloomingdale passed away December 29, 2021.\n\nSurvivors include two sons, John (Carol) Wittenmyer of Crawfordsville and Don (Vickie) Wittenmyer of Waveland; daughter-in-law, Cassie Wittenmyer of Rockville; four grandchildren, Dereth Kirby, Meredith Harrison, Andrea Wittenmyer and Curtis Wilson; four great-grandchildren, Carly, Dylan, Daphne, and Darcy. She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Wittenmyer on April 8, 2019.\n\nShe attended Grange Corner School and was a member of the Nyesville Full Gospel Fellowship Church. She was formerly employed by P.R. Mallory and Company and Lee Alan Bryant Healthcare Facilities, both in Rockville. She enjoyed her family, pets, flower garden and the televison ministries of Dr. Charles Stanley and Joyce Meyer.\n\nGraveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 26, at Bloomingdale Friends Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
