\n\nPhillip Leighton Wallace, 69, of Rockville, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Union Hospital Terre Haute. He was born October 18, 1954, in Clinton, Indiana, the son of Frank and Minnie Alexander Wallace. Phillip married Melody Bozarth on August 23, 1980, in Marshall, Indiana, she survives.\n\nPhillip graduated from Turkey Run High School in 1972. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Parke Lodge #8, F&AM in Rockville, and previously served on the Marshall Volunteer Fire Department.\n\nPhillip was a machinist, owning and operating Las Tech in Marshall for several years. He also previously worked as a Reserve Deputy for the Parke County Sheriff’s Department and the Town of Montezuma.\n\nHe is survived by his wife, Melody Wallace of Rockville; 4 children, Shaundelorah Wallace (Chelsea) of Marshall, Hope Wadsworth (Rob) of Florida, Travis Wallace (Jessica) of Montezuma, and Valarie Wallace of Rockville. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.\n\nPhillip was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Frank, and Dick Wallace; and 2 sisters, Helen Swaim and Pat Delp.\n\nVisitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 East High Street, Rockville. Military Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
