For Lydia Tropez, the opportunity to help Putnam County residents with their health goals and desire for more energy was too great to pass up a year ago when she purchased Healthies - Greencastle last February.

"The business was opened in 2020, but I bought it in February of 2024. We specialize in healthy alternatives of popular drinks and snacks. Our most popular items are our energy teas and protein shakes. We offer many different flavor options: sweet, tart, tropical, fruity, etc.," Tropez told The Putnam County Post.

At a time when people are still focused on their health goals and resolutions, Tropez said she enjoys helping people achieve their goals.

"It feels wonderful to be able to help people be more energetic, productive and happy. And it's great they can get all of those benefits while being healthier, too. The best part of my job is talking to people. My customers come in tired, grumpy or in a rush. We pride ourselves on our ability to improve the moods of our customers through our positive and upbeat service. We treat everyone like a friend, and, oftentimes, they become just that," she said.

February will mark the one year anniversary of Tropez owning the business and she admits there are many things planned for the business, which is located at 35 Putnam Plaza, Greencastle.

"We will have a customer appreciation week with lots of discounts and even a raffle. It is so exciting to know that we have been helping people with their goals for a whole year. We are ready for many more years. Until then, we are proud to our serve our small town and surrounding communities and help them become the best versions of themselves," Tropez said.
