
Alan Joseph Hartman, 74, passed away February 14, 2025 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. Alan was born June 18, 1950 in Denver, Colorado. Early in his life he moved to Brazil and was raised by the late Walter and Carnival Pickett.
Alan graduated from Brazil High School. After high school he became a karate instructor where he met the love of his life, Janice Stewart whom he married on July 17, 1971. He earned his Associates Degree in Communication Electronics from Ivy Tech and began his career as an IT professional. He worked for several places before his time at Old National Bank where he retired in 2020. Alan was an avid collector, especially penguins. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing, politics, and watching movies. Alan was a life long member of First Christian Church in Brazil. He was an animal lover and always enjoyed his dogs.
Alan is preceded in death by his brother, James Hartman.
Alan is survived by his wife, Janice Hartman, a daughter, Heather Fanning, a brother, William Hartman, and his beloved French Bulldog, Delilah.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 21st at 2 P.M. at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
