Alberta Mae Johnson, 87, of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Hendricks Regional Health surrounded by her family.
Alberta was born March 24, 1937 to Eddie and Alice (Madden) Jellison in Indianapolis, IN.
Alberta loved to work in her garden and plant flowers. She also loved going to her church Greencastle Grace Tabernacle. She will always be remembered fondly by her loved ones for her strong will and ornery nature.
Alberta is preceded in death by her parents; son Brian Johnson; brother Bill Jellison; and sister Vera Walton.
Alberta is survived by her son Dwayne Johnson of Coatesville, IN; daughter Brenda Johnson-Asahina of Coatesville, IN; grandchildren Fallon Asahina of Honolulu, HI, Chase Asahina (Suki) of Provo, UT, Cheyenne Asahina (Seth) of Boston, MA, and Taylor Stevenson (Josh) of Coatesville, IN; 6 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Alberta will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Services have been entrusted to Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
