Julia Ellen Salem, 67, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Born October 2, 1957 in Greencastle, the daughter of Jack and Nancy (Feld) Haltom.
Julia had recently retired from nursing, where she had worked as a nurse in Kentucky, Arizona, and New Mexico for 30 plus years. She had attended the Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Haltom.
Julia is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Gammon; children, Christian Kolesar and Cecilia (husband Eric) Kolesar Thompson; her father Jack Haltom; brothers Chris (wife Denise) Haltom, Matt Haltom, Wally (wife Carla) Haltom, Scott Haltom, and Joey Haltom; grandson Eric Thompson III; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
