Larry Dean Tucker, 70, lifelong resident of Brazil, Indiana, left this life on October 28, 2024, in his typical style; early and without saying goodbye.
Larry was born on April 25, 1954, the son of Rex and Shirley (Harden) Tucker. He graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1972. Larry was an avid football fan, particularly the Green Bay Packers. He loved a good argument, a ride in his Corvette, and a cold beer (not all at the same time….maybe).
Larry was preceded in death by his father Rex Tucker; mother Shirley Roeschlein; brother Mark Tucker; and his second father Elbert Roeschlein.
Cantankerous and often bossy, Larry was especially loved by his wife of 45 years, Suzanne (Hoffman) Tucker, who managed to tolerate his antics for longer than she probably planned on. His daughters, Ashley Kester (Michael) and Erika Tucker, inherited their mother’s sense of humor and their father’s knack for lively debate and colorful discussion. His grandchildren, Paxton, Colston, and Audrey Jo Kester, will surely miss their grandpa’s playful and antagonistic nature. Larry's siblings, Jim Tucker (Tonia), Jennie Vandivier (Brad), and Rhonda Clark (Fred), along with his second mother, Marilyn Tucker, are left with a treasure trove of memories that will last for generations.
Larry was passionate about football. He volunteered his time with the Clay Youth League and Northview and North Clay football teams. Through his firm but fair style of coaching, Larry was able to pass on his love for the game and grow their skill in football.
Graveside services will be held at Clearview Cemetery, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Brattain officiating.
