Lois Florence McDaniel, 82, of Greencastle, formerly of Mt Vernon, IL., passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025.
Born May 26, 1942 in Ina, IL., the daughter of Frank and Ruby (Kelley) Settle. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon Township High School.
Lois was a homemaker and caregiver for her family. She was a member of the Plainfield Eastern Star; Pleasant Hill Baptist Church; and attended Harmony Baptist Church in Avon, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne McDaniel; parents; and her brothers Kelley & Jim Settle.
Lois is survived by her children John (Missy) McDaniel, Connie Helmer, Patricia McBride, and Mary (Mickey) Caudillo; brothers Joe & Bill Settle; grandchildren Debra (Derek), Shelby, Kansas (Robbie), Emma, Mia, Ava, Samantha, Carrie, Aaron, and Gerald; and ten great grandchildren.
Eastern Star services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025 followed by Memorial services at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral home 4 Percy Julian Drive Greencastle, IN.
The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until time of services.
