Max R. Standley, Jr., 77, of Brazil

Max R. Standley, Jr., 77, of Brazil, passed away April 11, 2024, at 10:05 pm at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 8, 1946, in Brazil, the son of Max Standley and Ethel A. Phillips Standley. As a young man, he enjoyed playing softball and later he became a spectator of college basketball and football as well as the NFL. He also enjoyed watching Nascar. His favorite pastime was spending time with the family including grandchildren. He like to camp, play corn hole, and take road trips to find new eating spots. He also enjoyed traveling to Florida, both the beach and the Everglades, to French Lick for casino time and their trip of a lifetime to Alaska were some of his special vacations.

Max and Terri were married on April 30, 1982. They have done life together these almost 42 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Max Sr., and Ethel Standley; and one sister Charlene “Deena” Burton.

Survivors include Terri Schurick Standley; children, Erick Michael Standley (Rhiannon), Amee Embry – Standley (Aaron Hartman) and Scott Standley and family, and Nikki Lalen and family, Robinne Smith and family; grandchildren, Devin Gullett (Rachel), Alexus Hartman (Draven), Lauren Hartman, Matthew Moorhead (Cheynne), Mark Brown and Erick Michael Standley, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jaxsyn Gullett and Brylie Gullett; one brother and his wife, Ron Standley (Patty); brother in law, sister in law, Tim and Chris Schurick; a large extended family and his special dog, “Maxie”.
