Michael Ray Gibbs, 76, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Born November 24, 1948 in Crawfordsville, the son of Paul and Alean (Bagshaw) Gibbs Cain. He attended Greencastle High School.
Mike had retired from RDC in Plainfield where he had worked as a correctional officer for 39 ½ years. He was an exceptional drawer and loved to be outside.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Paul Wayne Gibbs.
Mike is survived by his wife Darlene (Burton) Gibbs; son Mike (wife Jennifer) Gibbs; daughter Tina Gibbs; sisters Melba (husband Danny) Thomas, Linda Walls, and Ruthann Kruse; brothers Ronnie (wife Melanie) Gibbs and Melvin (wife Teresa) Gibbs; grandchildren Niki (husband Matt) Hamblet, Todd (fiancée’ Anna) Gibbs, Sydney Gibbs and Dalton Johnson; two great grandchildren Blake and Keyli Hamblet and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Monday, January 20, 2025 with a time of fellowship to follow from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Greencastle Christian Church 620 Primrose Greencastle, IN 46135.
