Morris Lee Stewart, 68, of Clay City, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly, on November 1, 2024 at his home.
Morris was born on April 4, 1956, in Linton, Indiana the son of Richard and Jaunita (Ray) Stewart. He graduated from Cascade High School with the class of 1974. He began working for Allison Transmission in 1977 and retired after 32 years. Morris enjoyed being out doors especially hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Jaunita Stewart and his sister Louanzel Stewart.
Survivors include his wife Jodi (Jackson) Stewart whom he married on July 11, 2017; daughter Deanna Neidlinger (James) of Danville, Indiana; son Andy Stewart of Pittsboro, Indiana, step-kids Brooklyn Hopkins (Shawn) and Macie Higar; grandchildren: Austin Neidlinger (Leah), Alexis Neidlinger, and Levi Stewart; step-grandkids: Kaylenn Harshaw, Dallas Harshaw, and Maelynn Higar; great-grandkids: Cade Neidlinger and Brinlee Neidlinger; brothers: Joseph Stewart (Janice) and Ronald Stewart (Cindy); as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. Eighth St. Clay City, Indiana 47841, on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
