Ronald Earl Richardson, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Greencastle, IN on April 1, 2025.
Ronald was born February 3rd, 1935 in Velpen, IN to Robert A. and Beatrice (Barnett) Richardson. He grew up in Pike County Indiana where he attended and graduate from Otwell High School in 1953.
Ronald served in the National Guard. He was a longtime employee of Allison Transmission in plants 2 and 5 in Indianapolis until his retirement after 31 years of service in 1987. He was a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene until 2006, where he then went on to attend the Calvery Bible Wesleyan Church of Plainfield until 2024. And his last home church at Greencastle Holiness Church with his family and friends.
Ronald was a simple man. He spent much of his time reading his bible. The last few years of his life, he spent on a farm where he enjoyed watching the animals and was always looking out for deer.
Ronald is preceeded in death by his parents; daughter Lori A. McDaniel; brother Robert A. Richardson Jr; and sister Nylia G. (Richardson) Norris.
Ronald is survived by his daughter Allison Richardson; grandson Steven McDaniel (Rebecca) ; and his son in-law Tim McDaniel (Christine)
Funeral service for Ronald will be held at Greencastle Holiness Church, 730 South Main Street, Greencastle IN, on Monday April 7, 2025 at 12:00 pm. Entombment to follow at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Whitestown, IN.
Family will receive friends at 11:00 am until time of service.
