Wesley Richard Gallimore, 87, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Born February 8, 1937 in Wabasha, Minnesota the son of Wilbur Herbert and Florence Mildred (Kittelson) Gallimore. He was a graduate of Wheaton High School in Illinois.
He was a veteran having served in the United States Army.
Wesley had been a Superintendent over various construction projects throughout his career. He was a member of Palos Bible Church and the Carpenters Union in Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Mark Gallimore, siblings Bernard and Garnet, and a granddaughter.
Wesley is survived by his wife of 67 years Harriet (Klomp) Gallimore; daughter Lois (husband Marc) Wilson; sons Kevin (wife Jacqueline) Gallimore, James (Julie) Gallimore, and Shaun (Maureen) Gallimore; daughter-in-law Terry Gallimore; brother Howard (wife Janice) Gallimore; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the First Baptist Church, Greencastle. Interment with military honors will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Hopkins-Rector Funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
