Wolves coasted to a huge 56-33 win over North Putnam to open the tournament.
Heading into the Class 2A Sectional 41 Tournament Tuesday night at Greencastle, it could be argued the pressure was on Parke Heritage.
The Wolves are highly ranked and, on paper, are favorites to cut down the nets.
In the end, there was no pressure, as the Wolves coasted to a huge 56-33 win over North Putnam to open the tournament.
With the win, the Wolves improved to 21-4 and will play Greencastle Friday at 6 pm in the first semifinal. The Cougars saw their season end at 6-18.
Parke Heritage held a slim 6-2 lead after the first quarter and that was all they would need as Brenden Goins went off over the next two quarters, draining nine three pointers en route to 31 points for the Wolves.
A three from Goins stretched the lead to 17-5 midway through the second and the Wolves would hit the lockers ahead 23-10.
The halftime break did little to cool Parke Heritage, who would build a 56-12 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
In addition to the output from Goins, the Wolves got seven points each from Carter Crum and Isaac Pickel.
Owen Query paced the Cougars with 13, while Caden Helderman added 10 points.
