Gifts purchased for the children in need must be returned to the library by December 13 in order to be sorted and delivered to the families in time for Christmas.

The annual Giving Tree is up at the Morristown Branch Library, where interested community members can take a tag and adopt a child or a family in need for the holiday season.

All tags represent local Morristown community children. Gifts purchased for the children in need must be returned to the library by December 13 in order to be sorted and delivered to the families in time for Christmas. More events are planned at the library branch throughout December.

Children may also write letters to Santa Claus and drop them off at the Magical Santa Mailbox outside the Morristown Library. The library’s elves will get them delivered safely to the North Pole, and if you include a return address, Jolly Old St. Nick will write back to you! The Santa Mailbox will be available at the library through December 14.

Santa himself will arrive at the Morristown Branch Library on December 14! You can enjoy a storytime, cookies, and cocoa with Santa from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on December 14th. Please give the library staff a call at 765-818-1718 that you'll be attending so they can prepare enough treats for all.

The holiday fun continues throughout December at the Morristown Library Branch with LaDonna's DIY Essential Oils class on December 19 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and drop in for some wizardly winter solstice activities during the Yule Ball event on December 21 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The library will be closed on December 24 and 25 for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but will return on December 26 for a Dungeons & Dragons Holiday Festival from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.

The Morristown Library will close out 2024 and welcome 2025 on December 31 with a countdown to 12 o'clock at their "Noon" Year's Eve Party. Arrive at 11:30 am to join the festivities and countdown to Noon.

Finally, celebrate the turning of the page on this year with another special Dungeons & Dragons adventure celebration on New Year's Eve from 1:30 to 4:30pm.

The library will close at 5:00 pm on New Year's Eve and remain closed through New Year's Day.

The Morristown Branch is located at 127 E. Main Street in Morristown.
