The Shelbyville Municipal Airport will host Fly-In Community Day on Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This family-friendly event is free to attend and open to the community.
Fly-In Community Day at the airport, 3529 N 100 West in Shelbyville, will be a fun-filled experience for people of all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of aircraft up close, enjoy delicious food from Dayton’s Family Affair, and indulge in sweet treats from the ice cream vendor Whip It.
Adding to the event will be live music provided by Larry Boggs Music.
“We are thrilled to host this event and welcome the community to our airport,” said Maranda Smith, Airport Manager/FBO Manager. “Fly-In Community Day is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to experience aviation firsthand, enjoy great food, and connect with neighbors in a fun and relaxed setting.”
