Following a nearly month-long investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Michael Bozarth Jr.
The Shelby County Drug Task Force, in collaboration with the Shelbyville Police Department, has arrested a Fairland man on multiple charges related to the illegal distribution and possession of controlled substances.
Following a nearly month-long investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Michael Bozarth Jr., 46. Bozarth who faces three counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine, each classified as Level 2 felonies, as well as Dealing in Cocaine, a Level 4 felony.
On December 10, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, in partnership with the Shelbyville Police Department SWAT and CSI, apprehended Bozarth pursuant to the outstanding warrant and executed a search warrant at his Fairland residence. As a result of his arrest and the subsequent search, Bozarth faces additional criminal charges, including:

Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 felony)

Dealing in Cocaine (Level 2 felony)

Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (fentanyl) (Level 2 felony)

Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (oxycodone) (Level 2 felony)

Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (morphine) (Level 3 felony)

Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (hydrocodone) (Level 3 felony)

Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class A misdemeanor)
The investigation led to the recovery of significant quantities of illegal substances and other items, including:

Over 290 grams of methamphetamine

Over 10 grams of fentanyl

Over 75 grams of cocaine
-
Numerous Oxycodone, Morphine, Hydrocodone, Alprazolam, and other tablets
-
marijuana
-
8 firearms
-
$2,131 in cash
In the release from the Shelby County Sheriff's Department credits the diligent efforts of the drug detectives in this case to making Shelby County a safer place by removing dangerous substances and firearms from the community.
Bozarth Jr. is being held in the Shelby County Jail with a bond amount of $500,000.00.
