Barbara Ann Anderson, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at her residence.
Born November 6, 1943, in Geneva, New York, she was the daughter of William Chapman and Jane (DeMetro) Chapman.
Survivors include 2 children- Larry James Anderson of Kokomo, Theresa Lewis (Daryle Jr.) of Indianapolis; 2 siblings- William Chapman (Denise) of Victor, New York, James Chapman of Rochester, New York; 8 grandchildren- Ashley Anderson, Robert Anderson, Andrew Anderson, Veronica Hauck, Eva Lewis, Sophia Lewis, Olivia Lewis, Matthew Merritt; 11 great grandchildren;
and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary Jane Wilber.
Barbara had lived in this area for 62 years after previously living in New York. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Silver Sneaker's and Shelbyville Senior Citizens. Barbara was a custodian for Shelbyville Middle School, retiring after 23 years of service, and also had worked for Miss Connie's Kids for several years as a daycare provider. Barbara was an avid Colts fan. She enjoyed painting, and standard bred horse racing and dearly loved her family and her grandchildren.

Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Auburn, New York.
