Mrs. Hardin was a lifetime resident of this area and was a homemaker. She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1952, and just recently attended her 71st class reunion in October. She was always proud to say

that she attended a one room school house- Zion Lutheran, for 8 years before attending New Palestine High School, and was always glad to gather with her former friends from school including Betty, Charlene, & Joyce to name a few.

Carole was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Palestine and she was one of the first to be employed by the US Army Finance Center, when it moved to Fort Harrison from St. Louis.

Carole loved attending the annual Schwier family reunion in August, and eagerly anticipated it.  Carole was proud to have  been born on her mother's birthday, and to also have been named after a famous actress, Carole Lombard.
