M. Jane Myers passed away on Saturday July 1, 2023, in Shelbyville, Indiana.
Margaret Jane Myers was born on April 6, 1927, in Shelbyville, Indiana, to Robert I. Weaver and Margaret L. (Niesse) Weaver. Jane married Lewis "Pete" Myers on October 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on October 19, 1987. They were the parents of one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Myers.
Jane attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1945. She worked as a secretary at Amos Molded Plastics in Edinburgh, Admiral Corp., Gen Pro, Tokheim Corp., and Overhead Door, all in Shelbyville. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, long-time member and past president of INFBPW/ Shelbyville, Daughters of Isabella, member and past president of Vestavia, and St. Anne Altar Society. Jane loved her family, reading, travel, playing cards, NASCAR, Indiana University basketball, Cincinnati Reds baseball, and going to Barry Manilow concerts.
Surviving Jane are: E. Ann Myers, daughter, Shelbyville; Joanne Lawler, sister, Galena, Illinois; Robert L. Weaver, brother, Port Charlotte, Florida; nieces Martha Collier, Shelbyville; Margaret Post, Greensburg; Marcia Spears, Brantley, Alabama; Lou Ann Dorman, Shelbyville; Paula Payne, Evansville; Susan Shull, Carmel; and Sarah Boyd, Columbus; nephews Rob Weaver, Colonial Heights, Virginia; Bryan Weaver, Fernandina Beach, Florida; Jeffrey Lawler, Hanover, Illinois; Michael Lewis, Columbus; Robert Lewis, Shelbyville; Bill Elliott, Shelbyville; and Mark Elliott, Shelbyville; many great- and great great- nieces and nephews; several Godchildren; and honorary daughter, Janneane R. Siegel, Mesa, Arizona.
Preceding Jane in death were her husband, Pete Myers; her parents; her sisters, Roanne Lewis and Mary Elliott; and her nephews Patrick Lewis, Todd Lewis, and Douglas Myers.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 8, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Mass will be officiated by Rev. Michael Keucher. The Rosary will precede Mass at 9:30. Burial will be at a later date.
