Paul Emerson Linville, 77, of Arlington, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at his home.
He was born May 13, 1946, in Shelbyville, the son of Sharon Emerson “S.E.” and Caroline Priscilla (Macy) Linville. On February 18, 1972, he married his wife of 51 years, Karen Sue Donner, and she survives.
In addition to Karen, Paul is survived by his sons, Anthony Paul Linville and wife, Tiffany, of Germantown, and Luther Chandis Linville and wife, Heather, of Arlington; daughter, Catherine Elaine Shaver and husband, Joshua, of Shelbyville; sister, Violet Louise Ramsey of Shelbyville; brothers, William Fredrick Linville of Arlington, Keith Eugene Linville and David Earl Linville, both of Morristown; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ronnie Lee Linville.
In 1964, Paul graduated from Arlington High School.
Paul was a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Little Blue River Friends Church.
Paul was a farmer and equipment operator, retiring in 2016.
He enjoyed being outdoors, tinkering and mowing the grass.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Little Blue River Friends Church, 122 N 1000 W, Morristown.
Funeral services will follow at 3 pm Saturday, at the church with Rev. Shane Arthur officiating.
Interment will be at Little Blue River Friends Cemetery in Rush County.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
