
Kyle Crim got the start on Senior Day for Hanover on Feb. 18 and produced four points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal in a 75-71 win over Transylvania University (Ky.) in the Panthers’ regular-season finale.
Hanover opened Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) postseason tournament play Saturday against the same Transylvania squad and prevailed 69-64 to advance.
Crim (photo, third from left), a Morristown graduate, had two points, one rebound and two assists to improve the Panthers to 16-10 this season.
Here is a look at other Shelby County graduates competing at the collegiate level.
Brooklyn Bailey
The Triton Central graduate finished with eight points and three rebounds Saturday for Kaskaskia College in a 96-54 loss at Lake Land College.
Olivia Faust
The Triton Central graduate scored a career-high 21 points and added five rebounds and two steals Saturday to help No. 12 Marian defeat No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan, 92-84 in overtime in the final regular season game for the Knights (22-6, 15-3 Crossroads League).
On Wednesday, Faust had six points, two rebounds and one steal in Marian’s 72-62 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio).
Drake Moore
The Morristown graduate had two points, two rebounds and one assist Saturday in IU Kokomo’s 71-67 win at St. Mary-of-the-Woods in the Cougars’ regular-season finale.
On Feb. 18, IU Kokomo defeated IU Columbus, 125-60. Moore finished with 10 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals.
The Cougars have won seven straight and are 20-8 this season.
Bella Larrison
The Waldron graduate had five points, seven rebounds and one steal Wednesday in Anderson’s 63-57 win at Bluffton to close out the Ravens’ regular-season schedule.
Anderson secured a 74-61 win Saturday over Franklin in a HCAC Tournament quarterfinal game. Larrison finished with seven points, eight rebounds and one assist to improve to 13-12 this season.
Rylie Stephens
The Triton Central graduate had 11 points, eight rebounds, one assist and two steals Thursday for West Florida in a 96-70 loss at No. 14 Union in Jackson, Tennessee.
The Argos bounced back Saturday in Memphis, Tenn., to defeat Christian Brothers University 80-59 to improve to 17-9. Stephens had 21 points, two rebounds and two assists.
Maya Chandler
The Triton Central graduate scored a team-high 17 points Wednesday to lead Miami (Ohio) to its fifth-straight win, 70-58 at Akron.
On Saturday, Chandler finished with 10 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in a 68-54 loss to Buffalo.
The Redhawks are 16-9 (8-6 Mid-American Conference).
Tenleigh Phelps
The Triton Central graduate scored 16 points and added four rebounds and one assist Saturday in IU South Bend’s 79-58 victory at Judson University in the Titans’ regular-season finale.
On Wednesday, Phelps had 11 points, nine rebounds, five assists and one steal in a 91-74 loss at Olivet Nazarene (Ill.)
IU South Bend enters the postseason tournament with a 19-8 record.
Lizzie Graham
The Triton Central graduate scored seven points for IU South Bend in its 91-74 loss Wednesday at Olivet Nazarene. On Saturday, Graham had six points and two steals in the Titans’ win at Judson.
Graham was recently named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s Women’s Basketball All-Academic Team. The sophomore also has been named a NAIA Scholar Athlete.
Brayden Wilkins
The Triton Central graduate broke the Franklin College men’s track and field 200 meters record Saturday at the Wittenberg Invitational in Springfield, Ohio.
The invitational featured Division I, II and III athletes.
Wilkins finished ninth in 22.68 seconds.
Connor Duncan
The Shelbyville graduate also competed for Franklin at the Wittenberg Invitational.
Duncan placed 43rd in the shot put (32 feet, 2.75 inches) and 47th in the weight throw (32-11.75).
Cheyenne Eads
The Shelbyville graduate took the loss Sunday in game one of a doubleheader against Findlay at Mooresville High School.
Eads went the distance in a 4-2 loss for the University of Indianapolis, pitching seven innings, allowing nine hits, four walks and four runs while striking out six.
UIndy won game two, 13-5. Eads had a walk, was hit by a pitch twice and scored two runs to secure head coach Melissa Frost career win No. 900.
The Greyhounds are 6-4 this season.
Brayden Basey
The Shelbyville graduate allowed two hits and secured two outs Saturday in his pitching debut for Christian Brothers University.
Basey pitched in game two at the University of West Florida in an 8-0 loss.
Christian Brothers is 5-8 this season.
Kilikina Schultz
The Shelbyville graduate finished 14th in the 200 meters (29.14) and 11th in the 60 hurdles (10.74) for Muskingum in the final indoor track and field meet hosted by Muskingum in New Concord, Ohio.
Karissa Hamilton
The Shelbyville graduate hit .429 with two extra-base hits, including her first home run of the season, and six runs batted in for Kentucky, who won four of five games at the I-75 Challenge in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Wildcats’ only loss came in their opener Friday to Coastal Carolina, 3-1.
Kentucky defeated Georgia Tech twice – 10-0 and 16-6 – and added wins over Memphis (9-1) and Kennesaw State (7-4).
Hamilton delivered a first-inning, two run scoring single Saturday that started the scoring against Memphis. She had two hits including a home run against Georgia Tech Sunday.
The Wildcats are 10-5 this season.
Kylee Edwards
The Shelbyville graduate had two hits and a walk Sunday against Miami (Ohio) to extend her career-best streak of reaching base to eight games.
Mississippi State finished the Rocket City Softball Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama, with three wins and a loss.
The Bulldogs defeated Louisiana Tech Saturday, 10-1. Edwards had a single, a walk, a stolen base and scored two runs.
Mississippi State closed Saturday with a 6-2 win over North Alabama. Edwards had a single and a walk.
Jacksonville State defeated the Bulldogs 3-0 Sunday. Edwards had a double in the loss.
Edwards doubled again in an 11-7 win over Miami to get Mississippi State to 13-2 this season.
