Olivia Faust played 24 minutes Tuesday for Marian’s women’s basketball program in a season-opening 74-37 victory at Rochester Christian (Mich.).
The Triton Central graduate scored five points, collected four rebounds and had one assist, one block and two steals.
The win was the first collegiate win for new head coach Suntana Anderson. The Knights have now won 14 consecutive season openers.

Brooklyn Schiffli
The Triton Central graduate racked up a career-high 30 digs Friday in Jacksonville State’s 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-8 loss at Sam Houston.
Schiffli, the first Gamecock with 30 digs in a match since 2017, also had eight assists and one ace.
On Thursday, Sam Houston defeated Jacksonville State, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 28-26. Schiffli had one assist and 18 digs.
Maggie Schweitzer
The Triton Central graduate finished with 23 assists, 12 digs and three aces Saturday in Hanover’s 22-25, 28-26, 25-18, 24-26, 15-11 win over Franklin College.
Hanover defeated Rose-Hulman on Oct. 23, 25-13, 25-20, 25-14. Schweitzer had 13 assists, one ace and seven digs.
The Panthers are 19-5 this season and 3-2 against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference programs.
Julia Sanders
With wins over Rio Grande and West Virginia Tech, No. 11-ranked IU Kokomo volleyball clinched the River States Conference West Division title.
IU Kokomo defeated Rio Grande (Ohio) Friday, 25-13, 16-25, 25-20, 25-22. Sanders had one assist, two aces and 10 digs.
On Saturday, The Cougars topped WVU Tech, 25-21, 25-17, 25-16. Sanders finished with two kills, two assists, three aces and six digs to improve IU Kokomo to 25-4 (12-0 RSC).
Will Rife
The Shelbyville graduate finished sixth in the 100-yard butterfly Saturday for Wabash College in dual matches with Albion College and Centre College.
Rife touched the wall in 26.58 seconds. He also placed 14th in the 50 freestyle (23.74), fourth in the 200 medley relay and sixth in the 200 freestyle relay.
Wabash defeated Albion, 230-56, and Centre, 151-148.
