Maggie Schweitzer collected 16 assists, four service aces and five digs Saturday to lead Hanover volleyball to a 25-19, 25-15, 25-11 victory over Bluffton University on Senior Day.
The win helped the Panthers improve to 21-7 overall and 5-4 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.
On Wednesday, Schweitzer (photo, right), a senior that graduated from Triton Central, had one kill, nine assists and 12 digs in Hanover’s 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17 loss to Transylvania University.
Here is a look at other Shelby County graduates competing at the collegiate level:
Brooklyn Schiffli
The Triton Central graduate had two assists, three aces and 21 digs Saturday in Jacksonville State’s 25-11, 27-29, 25-18, 25-21 loss at New Mexico State.
On Friday, New Mexico State opened the two-day series with a 25-11, 25-11, 25-14 win over the Gamecocks. Schiffli finished with two assists and seven digs.
Julia Sanders
The Triton Central graduate had one ace and five digs Friday in No. 11-ranked Indiana University Kokomo’s 25-21, 25-15, 25-22 win at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College to improve to 29-4 and finish the River States Conference schedule at 16-0.
On Nov. 5, IU Kokomo defeated IU Columbus, 25-20, 25-18, 25-9. Sanders had one ace and five digs.
Brayden Wilkins
The Triton Central graduate was credited with one tackle Saturday in Franklin College’s 28-22 loss at Bluffton.
Wilkins also had two kickoff returns totaling 50 yards for the Grizzlies (3-6, 2-3 HCAC).
Lucas Kleeman
The Triton Central graduate had one tackle Saturday in Anderson University’s 28-9 loss to Rose-Hulman.
Anderson is 1-8 (0-5 HCAC) this season.
Hannah Wright
The Shelbyville graduate placed 53rd overall in the River States Conference Cross Country Championships Saturday in Evansville, Indiana.
Wright completed the 6-kilometer course in 28 minutes, 46 seconds. She helped St. Mary-of-the-Woods finish sixth in the team standings.
Hadyn Ball
The Triton Central graduate finished 1-2 for Wabash College wrestling Saturday at the Millikin College Open.
Ball defeated Cornerstone College’s Jackson Turner, 11-9, in his opening match then earned a bye into the quarterfinal round.
Ball lost to Triton’s Ghee Rachal then dropped a consolation match to Parkside’s Joseph Swanson.
Brooklyn Bailey
Southwestern Illinois College defeated Kaskaskia College on Nov. 5, 87-41.
Bailey, a Triton Central graduate, scored six points and grabbed seven rebounds in her collegiate debut for Kaskaskia College.
Olivia Faust
The Triton Central graduate finished with eight points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals Saturday in Marian University’s 78-59 win over Saint Xavier University (Illinois).
The win improved the Knights to 4-0 this season.
On Friday, Faust had nine points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in a 71-63 win over MidAmerica Nazarene University.
In Marian’s home opener on Nov. 5, Marian defeated Oakland City University, 63-60. Faust had 12 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Kyle Crim
The Morristown graduate scored four points and dished out six assists Friday in Hanover College’s season-opening 86-72 win over Berry College (Georgia).
Drake Moore
The Morristown graduate had seven points, three rebounds and one assist Friday for IU Kokomo in a 93-80 win at Taylor University.
The Cougars improved to 2-1 this season.
Tenleigh Phelps
The Triton Central graduate notched 17 points and eight rebounds Saturday in No. 25 IU South Bend’s 69-54 win at Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan.
IU South Bend improved to 3-0.
On Nov. 5, Phelps had 20 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 78-68 win over IU East.
Rylie Stephens
The Triton Central graduate scored 26 points, grabbed nine rebounds and added three steals to lead West Florida to a 109-73 victory Friday over Palm Beach Atlantic University in Valdosta, Georgia.
On Thursday in the opener of the South Regional Crossover in Valdosta, West Florida defeated Eckerd College, 65-55, in its season opener. Stephens had a game-high 21 points and finished with seven rebounds and one block.
