Rylie Stephens scored 13 points and added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals to her stat line Sunday while leading West Florida to a 64-62 win at Valdosta State.
Stephens, a Triton Central graduate, has helped the Argos to a 6-3 start to the season.
Here is a look at other Shelby County graduates competing at the collegiate level.
Hadyn Ball
The Triton Central graduate finished 3-3 for Wabash College Saturday at the 60th Annual North Central College Invitational in Naperville, Illinois.
Competing at 197 pounds, Ball finished sixth in his bracket to earn Wabash 10 team points.
Ball opened the event with an 8-2 win over Baldwin Wallace’s Dominic Pagan. He followed that with a 16-1 victory over Coe’s Nolen Yeary.
Ball suffered his first loss in the quarterfinal round, 7-2, to Albion’s Bernard Harrison.
In the consolation round, Ball received a medical forfeit victory over Concordia-Wisconsin’s Ruben Vasquez.
Castleton’s Haven Tatarak defeated Ball in round four of the consolation round, 13-4.
Ball then lost to Harrison, 10-3, in the fifth-place match.
Bella Larrison
The Waldron graduate had 10 points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal Saturday in Anderson’s 83-67 loss at Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Anderson is 5-5 this season and 2-2 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) standings.
Drake Moore
The Morristown graduate collected nine points, one rebound and one assist in Indiana University Kokomo’s 97-69 win over East-West University Friday in Kokomo.
The Cougars are 6-4 this season.
Kyle Crim
The Morristown graduate contributed four points, three rebounds, four assists and one block Saturday in Hanover’s 83-74 win over Manchester in a HCAC contest.
Hanover improved to 6-2 (2-1 HCAC).
Olivia Faust
The Triton Central graduate had two points, four rebounds and two assists Saturday in Marian’s 76-57 loss at No. 10 Georgetown College.
The Knights suffered a second consecutive loss Monday to Florida Memorial, 69-60. Faust had two points and two rebounds.
The Knights are 10-3 this season.
Brooklyn Bailey
The Triton Central graduate had nine points, eight rebounds, two steals and one block Wednesday in Kaskaskia College’s 65-45 loss to Shawnee Community College.
Kaskaskia College is still searching for its first win (0-11) this season.
Tenleigh Phelps and Lizzie Graham
Indiana University South Bend improved to 10-1 last week with a pair of home victories.
On Wednesday, the Titans defeated IU Columbus 95-48.
Phelps, a Triton Central graduate, finished with 15 points, four rebounds and two assists in the win. Graham, also a Triton Central graduate, added four points, two assists and one steal.
On Saturday, IU South Bend held off St. Francis (Illinois), 68-66. Phelps scored 11 points and added one rebound, three assists and three steals to her stat line.
