Triton Central built a double-digit lead by halftime Wednesday at Monrovia but could not maintain the lead and lost in overtime, 65-63.
Monrovia scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime and Grace Deaton scored five of her game-high 26 points in the extra session to secure the Indiana Crossroads Conference victory.
Deaton, a sophomore, made her first 10 free-throw attempts of the game and finished 16 of 20 from the line. She scored 11 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to get the Bulldogs (1-2) their first victory of the season.
Emery Newlin, a University of Dayton soccer commit, scored nine of her 12 points over the final 12 minutes. Camryn Wolfe, a freshman, finished with 11.
Triton Central is still searching for its first win this season. The Tigers are 0-4 for the first time since 2003.
Freshman Sawyor Murdick led TC with 19 points. Sophia Burbink finished with 13. Maryrose Felling had eight points.
Triton Central won the junior varsity game, 45-9. Rylee Pruitt led the Tigers with 10 points. Cheyenne Allen had nine points.
The Tigers return to the court Saturday afternoon at Indianapolis Lutheran (0-3, 0-2 ICC).
