A pair of seniors combined to score five goals and lead Triton Central to a 5-0 win over Beech Grove Thursday on Senior Night in Fairland.
Dayne Bailey produced the boys soccer program’s first hat trick with a three-goal performance. Bailey converted a penalty kick near the mid-point of the first half for the first goal of the match.
Dylan Hayden, a junior, set up Bailey twice in the second half for goals No. 2 and No. 3.
Senior Rex Lory also had a pair of second-half goals to help the Tigers pull away from the Hornets (0-14, 0-7 Indiana Crossroads Conference).
Goalkeeper Flynn Lotz collected his third shutout of the season with a 12-save performance.
Triton Central improved to 3-9-1.

Boys soccer
Greenfield-Central 2, Shelbyville 1
At Greenfield-Central, the host Cougars scored the only goal in the first half and added a quick score in the second half then held off the visiting Golden Bears (7-7, 3-3 Hoosier Heritage Conference).
Diego Hernandez scored Shelbyville’s only goal.
Greenfield-Central improved to 1-9 (1-5 HHC).
Girls soccer
Triton Central 5, Indianapolis Lutheran 1
At Lutheran, the visiting Tigers (8-5, 4-2 ICC) scored four first-half goals and cruised to the victory.
Ariel Walker scored two goals. Ava Bedwell, Brynne Aukerman and Rylee Pruitt also scored goals in the win.
Bedwell, Pruitt and Victoria Neiger each had assists.
Lutheran dropped to 1-9-1 (0-6 ICC).
Boys tennis
Waldron 4, Indian Creek 1
At Waldron, the host Mohawks swept the singles matches in their final home match of the season.
Charlie Fischer, Jack Fischer and Lincoln Fischer lost a total of five games in sweeping the singles matches.
At No. 1 doubles, Lucas Shaw and Cash Young stayed unbeaten with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Grant Dalton and Mason Frische.
Indian Creek’s A.J. Emenhiser and Aaron Hickson defeated Waldron’s Jackson Kuhn and Connor Ping at No. 2 doubles, 3-6, 6-2, 14-12.
Waldron is 12-4 this season.
Shelbyville 3, Greenwood 2
At Greenwood, the Golden Bears swept the doubles matches and got a three-set victory from Reece Prickett at No. 1 singles to collect the win.
Prickett prevailed 3-6, 6-3, 10-4 to up his record to 9-10 this season.
Aiden Smith and Wyatt Armstrong improved to 16-2 with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles.
Aiden Alton and Jack VanWye secured their first No. 2 doubles victory of the season, 6-4, 6-4.
Kashton Laycock and Kody Sellers lost their singles matches.
Triton Central 5, Beech Grove 0
At Triton Central on Senior Night, the Tigers used a makeshift lineup to sweep the Hornets and improve to 17-2 this season.
Tucker Hutchinson and Janssen Capps, who typically play No. 1 singles and No. 2 singles, respectively, joined forces to win at No. 1 doubles, 6-0, 6-3 over Guerin Boshears and Ethan Corbett.
Brayden Hoover and Derreck Uhls made quick work of Christian Lozano and Lisandro Reyes at No. 2 doubles, 6-1, 6-0.
Max Crouse, Connor Evans and Caleb McGuire were victorious in singles matches.
Volleyball
North Decatur def. Morristown, 25-10, 25-19, 25-12
At North Decatur, Madi Allen and Miley Scudder combined for 24 kills to lead the victorious Chargers (9-7, 2-1 Mid-Hoosier Conference).
Brooklyn Carlton led Morristown (8-12, 3-3 MHC) with six kills. Kindall Dorsey and Zoey Coons combined for 30 digs.
Triton Central def. Southwestern, 25-16, 25-16, 25-13
At Triton Central, the host Tigers have won five of their last six matches to improve to 14-7.
Lucy May led Triton Central with 12 kills. Addy Gibbs and Gwyn Williams each had eight kills.
Maryrose Felling finished with 16 assists and McKenzie Jett collected 12 digs.
Southwestern dropped to 13-10.
Tri def. Waldron, 25-12, 25-12, 25-12
At Tri, Alivia Fischer topped the visiting Mohawks (1-15) with five kills.
Emerson Lindsey had a team-high 17 digs and Ashlyn Ramsey finished with nine assists.
Tri improved to 5-8.
Franklin def. Shelbyville, 25-6, 25-9, 25-9
At Shelbyville, Rose Mahin collected 18 kills to improve the visiting Grizzly Cubs to 20-1 this season. Kate Pinnick had four service aces and seven digs.
Sophomore setter Karlin Burton, who played for Shelbyville last season, racked up 37 assists.
The Golden Bears are 5-15.
