Maryrose Felling continued her torrid scoring streak Thursday night and reached a personal milestone.
The Triton Central junior scored a game-high 36 points to lead the Tigers to a 69-55 victory at Speedway. With 108 points scored in her last three games, Felling has eclipsed 1,000 career points and moved up to No. 7 on Triton Central’s career scoring list.
Felling (photo, holding board) now has 1,007 career points just 12 games into her junior season. She needs 76 points to pass Kristy Gates for No. 6 on the list.
Samantha Dewey (1,702 points) is the program’s career scoring leader followed by Maya Chandler (1,437), Jessica Scherer (1,282), Kelsey Larkey (1,145), Tenleigh Phelps (1,110) and Gates (1,082).
On Thursday, Triton Central (7-5, 4-1 Indiana Crossroads Conference) trailed the Sparkplugs 17-14 after one quarter. Felling hit three three-pointers in the second quarter and scored 12 points to get her team a 33-26 halftime advantage.
Quinn King scored seven points in the third quarter as Triton Central extended its lead to 49-39.
Freshman Madalynn Matelic scored nine of her team-high 21 points in the fourth quarter but it was not enough to bring Speedway (3-7, ICC) back to the win.
Macy DeLisle finished with 12 points and Hayli Clampitt had 10 points for Speedway.
Sophia Burbrink made 8 of 12 free-throw attempts and finished with 15 points for Triton Central, winners of five straight and seven of its last eight games.
Triton Central won the junior varsity game 35-6. Macy Cloe led the Tigers with 11 points.
Following Christmas, Triton Central travels to Greenwood on Dec. 27 for a 4-team tournament. The Tigers face Yorktown (6-4) at 10 a.m. in the first semifinal contest. The Woodmen (0-11) follow against East Central (5-5) in the second semifinal.
The consolation game is at 6 p.m. The championship game follows at 8 p.m.

Milan 67, Waldron 60
At Waldron Tuesday, three Indians scored in double figures to improve Milan to 3-2.
Micah Norman scored a team-high 20 points. Jackson Voss scored 13 of his 16 points in the second half. John McKeown finished with 11 points.
Ethan Moody led Waldron with 23 points. Eli Stewart had 10 points.
Waldron (1-4) hosts Southwestern (0-4) Saturday.
