A strong third quarter propelled Rushville to a 52-47 road victory over Triton Central Tuesday night in Fairland.
The Lions led 24-19 at halftime then outscored the Tigers 15-4 over the next eight minutes to extend the lead to 39-23 going into the fourth quarter.
The two teams combined for 32 free-throw attempts in the final quarter. Rushville made 11-of-16 to keep Triton Central, who hit 12 of 16, at bay.
Gracie Buzzard hit a pair of three-pointers in the second quarter and made 6-of-8 free throws in the fourth to finish with a team-high 16 points. Trisha Morgan added 10 points for the Lions (4-3).
Maryrose Felling connected on 8 of 10 free throws in the final quarter and scored a game-high 24 points. Quinn King had seven points and Layla Compton added five points.
Triton Central won the junior varsity game, 37-28. Madison Swisher led the Tigers with 10 points. Eliana Joy finished with seven points.
Triton Central (2-5) is at Waldron (4-3) Friday.

Columbus North 66, Shelbyville 43
At Garrett Gymnasium in Shelbyville, the visiting Bulldogs (7-0) outscored the Golden Bears 24-5 in the second quarter to pull away for the victory.
Columbus North led 10-6 after one quarter. Kenna Conrad scored 11 of her 13 points in the second eight-minute period to spark the visitors.
Avery Johnson led Columbus North with 18 points. Hadassah Hurt finished with 12 points and Ava Wilson added 10 points.
Jayla Ash and Savannah Collins combined for 16 points in the third quarter to spark a Golden Bears’ rally.
Collins finished with a team-high 14 points. Ash had 10 and Addy Marshall finished with eight points.
Shelbyville (3-3) will host Batesville (5-2) Saturday afternoon.
Hauser 62, Southwestern 24
Norah Berkenstock scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Jets to the Mid-Hoosier Conference win.
Hauser (4-3, 2-0 MHC) built a 19-13 lead after one quarter then outscored Southwestern 18-1 in the second quarter to take control of the contest.
June Berkenstock added 10 points for Hauser.
Tanna Tatlock topped Southwestern (2-6, 0-3 MHC) with 15 points.
The Spartans play at Purdue Poly Englewood (5-2) Friday.
