Brylie Couch had three hits and drove in six runs Tuesday to lead Triton Central to its seventh-straight win.

The Tigers scored 10 runs in the first inning and cruised to a 16-2 Indiana Crossroads Conference win over Indianapolis Ritter (3-12, 0-6 ICC).

Freshman June Murdick went the distance for Triton Central (11-6, 3-3 ICC), allowing six hits and striking out five in five innings.

Madison Collins had two hits, scored two runs and drove in three. Jadyn Capps also had two hits.

Triton Central closes out its ICC schedule today against Speedway (7-11, 1-4).

Girls tennis

Triton Central 5, Indianapolis Scecina 0

The Tigers improved to 12-6 this season with a sweep of the Crusaders.

At No. 1 singles, Maryrose Felling defeated Ella Gadreau, 6-0, 6-0.

Ellie Gast bested Giuliana Moscoso at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

And Anniston Evans completed the singles sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Lillian Linn at No. 3 singles.

At No. 1 doubles, Lauren Grant and Audrey Canter defeated Lola Carey and Soledad Gonzalez, 6-0, 6-1.

Neve Kahler and Estelle Gearlds were victorious at No. 2 doubles over Amelia Koening and Ashley Mendez, 6-0, 6-2.

Boys volleyball

Martinsville def. Shelbyville, 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 29-27

At Martinsville, the visiting Golden Bears closed out their regular-season schedule with a four-game loss to the Artesians (12-11).

Jayion Grice led Shelbyville (8-14) with 18 kills, three service aces and 27 digs.

Corbin Deck finished with 12 kills and 25 digs. Layne Pogue had a team-high 28 digs. Diego Hernandez notched 41 assists.

Shelbyville’s postseason begins Friday at Madison (9-13) in the four-team Madison Sectional. The other semifinal pits Center Grove (18-6) against Scottsburg (1-11).
