Shelbyville volleyball's comeback attempt ended with a third-set win Monday night at Garrett Gymnasium.
Triton Central won the first two sets and recovered to win set four to take a 25-16, 26-24, 18-25, 25-18 victory over the Golden Bears (4-14).
Alivia Lee led Shelbyville with nine kills and three service aces. Ashlyn Turner had eight kills and two aces.
Kali Laycock led the defensive effort with 18 digs. Sydney Haehl followed with 15 digs.
Addison Hartman collected 15 assists.
Triton Central improved to 13-6 with the win. The Tigers also won the junior varsity match, 25-12, 25-18.

Boys soccer
Southwestern 5, Trinity Lutheran 0
At Class A, No. 9 Southwestern, Rafael Trawka scored two goals and Jace Patterson had three assists to improve the Spartans to 9-3-1 this season.
Josh Karr, Trent Todd and Trawka scored first-half goals to stake Southwestern to a 3-0 lead by halftime.
Patterson scored his team-leading 17th goal early in the second half and Trawka’s second goal came midway through the half.
Michael Clements had five saves in goal.
Trinity Lutheran dropped to 4-7-1.
Volleyball
Hauser def. Waldron, 25-22, 25-16, 22-25, 25-22
At Hauser, Lilli Lozier led Waldron (1-12) with six kills, 14 digs and two aces. Alivia Fischer finished with five kills.
Emerson Lindsey had 24 digs and three aces.
Hauser improved to 4-17.
Southwestern def. Knightstown, 25-19, 25-21, 25-10
At Knightstown, Tanna Tatlock led the victorious Spartans with 13 kills, four aces and 16 digs.
Ruby Garner added eight kills and 15 digs while Claire Utley finished with three aces and 20 digs.
Southwestern improved to 12-9 while the Panthers fell to 7-10.
