Waldron tennis players finished 11-0 Saturday to capture all five flights of the Mid-Hoosier Conference tournament.
The Fischer brothers, Charlie, Jack and Lincoln (photo), swept the singles divisions.
Charlie Fischer went 2-0 at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Morristown’s Dalton McMichael and a 6-0, 6-1 win over Southwestern’s Kyle Beck. Fischer improved to 12-4 this season.
At No. 2 singles, Jack Fischer defeated Morristown’s Eli Graves, 6-0, 6-1 to reach the championship match where he bested Hauser’s Kameron Blair, 6-2, 6-2. Fischer is 14-2 in singles matches this year.
Lincoln Fischer went 3-0 at No. 3 singles with wins over Southwestern’s Caleb McDonald (6-1, 6-0), Morristown’s Michael Ballinger (6-0, 6-1) and Hauser’s Colten Hatton (6-3, 6-0).
At No. 1 doubles, Lucas Shaw and Cash Young stayed unbeaten this season with wins over Edinburgh and Hauser. The two wins pushed Shaw’s career total to 61 – one shy of No. 2 all-time at Waldron.
Jackson Kuhn and Matthew Thomas went 2-0 to capture the No. 2 doubles bracket. For Kuhn, it was his fourth-consecutive Mid-Hoosier Conference championship.

Golden Bear Invitational
At Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville, Shia Veach led the Golden Bears with a seventh-place finish in the Gold Division race. He completed the course in 16 minutes, 51 seconds.
Also scoring for Shelbyville were Logan Reinhart (37th in 18:17), Blake Hughes (100th in 20:42), Ethan Coffey (110th in 21:02) and Ryan Chaney (113th in 21:30).
Waldron’s Will Larrison placed 16th in 17:25. Also scoring for the Mohawks were Jared Crosby (46th in 18:34), Nathaniel Evans (65th in 19:19), Spencer Armstrong (111th in 21:02) and Jacob Kuhn (112th in 21:20).
Competing for Morristown were Ryan Crisman (81st in 19:43), Bradley Theobald (121st in 22:24), Carter McGuire (132nd in 24:00) and Evan Trittipo (144th in 28:33).
Representing Southwestern were Chris Claiborne (116th in 21:48), Maxmilian Wilson (137th in 25:17), Samuel Wilson (138th in 25:18) and Gavin Harrison (145th in 31:40).
In the girls Gold Division race, Macey Robbins led Shelbyville with a 24th-place finish (21:27). Also scoring for the Golden Bears were Aerin Garcia-Santiago (51st in 22:58), Paige O’Connor (53rd in 23:12), Kathryn Seal (75th in 24:22) and Avery Keller (89th in 25:06).
Audrey VanDyke led Morristown with a 40th-place run (22:26). Brooke Kuhn placed 80th in 24:38.
Waldron’s Riley Price finished 93rd in 25:31. Jackie Corlett placed 103rd in 26:32.
Boys soccer
Southwestern 5, Hauser 1
At Southwestern Friday, Jace Patterson and Rafael Trawka each scored a pair of goals to lead the Class A, No. 7 Spartans to their eighth victory of the season.
Patterson scored the first goal of the contest, his 15th of the season, and added on the final goal to improve Southwestern to 8-3-1 this season.
Ethan Sipes had the other goal for Southwestern. Michael Clements was credited with four saves in goal.
Girls soccer
Heritage Christian 5, Triton Central 0
At Heritage Christian Saturday, Lauryn Dolvin scored three goals and Emma Gast had the other two goals to lead Class A, No. 1 Heritage Christian to the win.
The Eagles improved to 7-4 this season.
Triton Central is 6-5.
Boys tennis
Triton Central 5, Tri-West 0
At Triton Central Saturday, Drayton Kermode needed three sets to get the win at No. 3 singles and complete the sweep for the Tigers (15-2).
Kermode defeated Michael Gibson, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 10-8.
At No. 2 singles, Janssen Capps blanked Wyatt McMillan, 6-0, 6-0.
The Tigers won both doubles matches and the No. 1 singles match, 6-0, 6-1.
Volleyball
Tri-Central Invitational
Morristown opened the event Saturday with a 25-9, 29-27 loss to Culver Community before securing a pair of wins over Argos and Tri-Central.
Brooklyn Carlton had a team-high six kills for Morristown in the loss. Zoey Coons led the defensive effort with 11 digs.
The Yellow Jackets cruised to a 25-5, 25-14 win over Argos. Carlton finished with 11 kills. Kindall Dorsey delivered eight service aces. Addison Osborne collected 15 assists.
Morristown made quick work of Tri-Central, 25-3, 25-8. Abby Hawk racked up 10 aces.
The Yellow Jackets are 8-10 this season.
