Shelbyville's Baker named All-HHC

Shelbyville junior Hannah Baker was selected to the Hoosier Heritage Conference’s All-Conference Girls Basketball Team.

Twelve players were named All-HHC based on their performances this past season.

Baker helped the Golden Bears to a fourth-place finish in the conference while averaging 9.7 points, 5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 steals per game.

Also honored as All-Conference were Delta’s Jillian Barr (16.7 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 4 spg) and Griffyn Knight (15.1 ppg, 4 spg); Greenfield-Central’s Chaney Brown (11.4 ppg, 6.7 rpg) and Spring Arbor University commit Madison Sonsini (15.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg); Mt. Vernon’s Gabby Thomas (10.7 ppg, 3 rpg) and Zoey Wood (15.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 3.6 apg); New Castle’s Carlee Lanzer (12.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.9 apg); Pendleton Heights’ Adah Hupfer (13.5 ppg, 13.6 rpg) and Taylor University commit Kacie Warfel (23.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.2 spg); and Yorktown’s Lilly Sylvester (15.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg) and Olivia Conklin (11.3 ppg).

 

 

Pendleton Heights’ Nick Rogers was named HHC Coach of the Year.

Pendleton Heights (19-7 overall) and Mt. Vernon (18-7) shared the HHC title with 6-1 records.

Yorktown (17-7, 5-2) was runner-up ahead of Shelbyville (14-11, 4-3), Delta (18-7, 3-4), Greenfield-Central (16-8, 3-4), New Palestine (12-12, 1-6) and New Castle (6-17, 0-7).
