Triton Central’s Indiana Crossroads Conference championship baseball team was rewarded with six players being named All-Conference.
Bryce Haney, Hayden May, Kellan Dishman, Eli Sego, Brayden Hoover and Weston Smith were honored for their performance this year as part of the 18-player All-ICC squad.
Haney, a junior, went 7-1 on the mound with a 2.04 earned run average. He had 66 strikeouts in 48 innings. At the plate, he hit .333 with 31 runs scored and a team-high 35 runs batted in.
May, also a junior, went 10-1 with a 2.11 ERA. He had 92 strikeouts in 53 innings. May also had a team-high 41 hits this season, including six doubles, two triples and three home runs. He hit .494 with 33 runs scored and 31 RBI.
Dishman, a freshman, batted .417 with 35 hits (11 doubles), 26 runs and 26 RBI.
Sego, a sophomore, hit .409 with 38 hits (nine doubles, five triples) and 32 runs.
Hoover, a freshman, led the Tigers with a .518 batting average.
Smith, Triton Central’s third freshman to be named All-ICC, batted .377 with seven doubles and two home runs.
Also named All-ICC were Scecina’s David Mendez, Cascade’s Jonas Johnson, Logan Gibbs, Evan Lanphier, Toby Savini and Noah Dasgupta, Monrovia’s Brayton Belcher, Indianapolis Lutheran’s Hudson Mills and Dax Lockliear, Indianapolis Ritter’s Jaden McCoy and Aiden Lane, and Beech Grove’s Griffin Matracia.
Triton Central captured the ICC title with a 13-1 mark against conference foes. The Tigers finished the season at 24-4.
Cascade (20-6, 12-2 ICC) was runner-up ahead of Lutheran (18-16, 9-5), Scecina (10-17, 8-6), Monrovia (13-14, 6-8), Ritter (8-14, 4-10), Speedway (6-19, 2-12) and Beech Grove (4-24, 2-12).
