The Southwestern High School boys soccer program will open the 2024 season ranked No. 12 in the state coaches association's boys soccer preseason poll.
Noblesville (Class 3A), Evansville Memorial (Class 2A) and Bethany Christian (Class A) are the preseason No. 1 programs in each of the three respective classes for boys soccer.
Following Bethany Christian in the Class A poll are Providence, Covenant Christian, Faith Christian, Westview, Greenwood Christian, Fort Wayne Canterbury, Forest Park, Wheeler and Oldenburg Academy.
Covington is ranked No. 11, one spot ahead of Southwestern.
The top 10 in 2A are Evansville Memorial, Guerin Catholic, Illiana Christian, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, Speedway, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, Heritage Christian, Heritage Hills, West Lafayette and Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger.
Noblesville sits atop the 3A poll ahead of Carmel, Zionsville, Fishers, Center Grove, Cathedral, Lake Central, Bloomington South, Pike and Columbus North.
Noblesville also is the preseason No. 1 team in the state coaches association’s girls soccer poll. Following the Millers in the Class 3A poll are Hamilton Southeastern, Carmel, Westfield, Castle, Crown Point, Cathedral, Penn, Fort Wayne Carroll and Evansville Memorial.
Guerin Catholic is No. 1 in Class 2A ahead of Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, Mishawaka Marian, Bellmont, Brebeuf Jesuit, Indianapolis Chatard, Lawrenceburg, Gibson Southern, West Lafayette and Tri West.
In the Class A poll, Providence is top ranked followed by Evansville Mater Dei, Heritage Christian, Evansville Christian, Oldenburg Academy, Faith Christian, Trinity, Andrean, Bremen and Forest Park.
