Three Tigers earn IFCA All-State honor

A trio of Triton Central football player have earned All-State status based on their performances this past season.

Colton Crawford was selected Senior All-State in Class 2A as an offensive lineman by the Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA). He was one of eight offensive linemen named to the 2A All-State Team.

A total of 42 seniors were honored in Class 2A. Other notable selections were Indianapolis Lutheran’s L.J. Ward (WR) and RaiShaun McHenry (OL), Lapel’s Rylie Hudson (WR), Karson Kinsinger (OL) and Isaiah Priest (athlete), Indianapolis Scecina’s Noah Stuczynski (OL), and Monrovia’s Noah Bryant (LB).

Triton Central’s Zeke Robertson and Braden Brown were selected to the IFCA Junior All-State Team for Class 2A.

Robertson was selected as a wide receiver after leading the Tigers in receiving yards (367) and receiving touchdowns (6).

Brown was Triton Central’s leading rusher with 752 yards and 11 touchdowns.

A total of 28 players were named Junior All-State in Class 2A. Other notable selections were Lapel’s Devin Craig (QB), Indianapolis Lutheran’s Dax Locklear (K) and Logan Kennerk (DL), and Shenandoah’s Jarrett Holman (athlete).

 

 

The IFCA recently released all-state honorees for all six IHSAA classifications. The Top 50 All-State squad and the Mr. Football position winners also were announced.

New Palestine’s Brock Brownfield (OL) and Michael Thacker (DL) were selected to the Top 50 squad. Indianapolis Lutheran quarterback Jackson Willis also was chosen Top 50.

The Mr. Football position winners were:

  • Jackson Willis (QB) – Indianapolis Lutheran
  • Jaron Thomas (RB) – Concord
  • Dominic De Freitas (K) – NorthWood
  • Damien Shanklin (DL) – Warren Central
  • Kimar Nelson (LB) – Fort Wayne Wayne
  • Mark Zackery IV (DB) – Ben Davis
  • Nevan Tutterow (P) – Franklin Central
