In the overtime session, Triton Central was stopped from reaching the end zone but Nick Tormoehlen hit a 20-yard field goal to give Triton Central a 17-14 lead.
Hamilton Heights’ bid to get the win was then thwarted when Braden Brown (photo) intercepted Hamilton Heights quarterback Drew Woodruff to end the game. The sophomore signal caller ended the night completing just 11 of 25 passes for 87 yards.
Hamilton Heights dropped to 0-2 this season – a first for the program since 2020.
Triton Central avoided its first 0-2 start to a season since 2004.
