A trio of Triton Central softball players were named All-Conference in the Indiana Crossroads Conference.
Triton Central pitchers Lilli Fillippinie and Brylie Couch and outfielder Jayda McKee were three of 18 players honored by the conference for their performances this past season.
Fillippinie and Crouch pitched 71% of the Tigers’ innings this past season and combined to strike out 180 hitters over 110 innings.
Fillippinie led Triton Central with a .493 batting average. The junior had team-highs in hits (35), runs batted in (36), triples (5) and home runs (7).
Couch, also a junior, hit .437 with 31 hits, 25 RBI, a team-high 13 doubles, two triples and three home runs.
McKee, also part of Triton Central’s strong junior class, hit .329 and scored 29 runs.
Conference-champion Cascade, who will play for the Class 2A state championship Friday at Purdue University, has five All-ICC representatives. They are Grace Gray, Tara Gruca, Ava Allen, Lacie Godby and Macey Pugh.
Also earning the All-ICC honor were Beech Grove’s Malone Moore, Harper Moore, Holly Garrett and Lillianna Jansen, Indianapolis Lutheran’s Caitlyn Brooks, Leyla Miller and Brooklyn Barger, Monrovia’s Kaitlyn Mattocks, and Speedway’s Hayli Clampitt and Laney Jarrett.
Cascade, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, is 29-2 and finished 7-0 in the ICC standings.
Beech Grove (21-7) was runner-up at 21-7. Lutheran (18-10) finished third at 5-2 ahead of Triton Central (16-9, 4-3 ICC), Monrovia (8-11, 3-4), Speedway (11-13, 2-5), Indianapolis Scecina (9-11, 1-6) and Indianapolis Ritter (4-15, 0-8).
