Waldron 8-man football secured a perfect regular-season mark (7-0) Saturday with a 49-14 win Saturday over Rock Creek Academy.
With the win, the Mohawks are the No. 1 seed entering the four-team postseason tournament. Pairings for the Oct. 19 semifinal game are not yet set.
Rock Creek, Traders Point Christian Academy and Dugger Union will fill the final two playoff spots behind Waldron and Tri-State Crusaders. One team will be left on the outside looking in.
Rock Creek plays Traders Point Saturday. The Mohawks have already finished their regular-season schedule.
Troy Atwood had a big game for Waldron against Rock Creek. He carried the ball three times for 52 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 48 yards and another score. He also had two interceptions, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and led the defense with 9.5 tackles.
Walker Dodson collected a team-high 79 rushing yards and passed for 47 more yards. He ran for a touchdown and threw for another.
Hunter Dodson also rushed and passed for a touchdown, and added an 82-yard kickoff return for a score.
Preston Tartwe had a fumble recovery that he returned to the end zone for a touchdown.
