Sights from this year's Trail of Courage Living History Festival

The Trail of Courage Living History Festival on Friday welcomed a little more than a thousand students. The festival kicks off for the public at 10 a.m. Saturday and continues until 4 p.m. Sunday on the grounds of the Fulton County Historical Society.

More than a thousand area students got to experience Fulton County's Trail of Courage Living History Festival a day early on Friday. 

The festival features food cooked over wood fires, muzzleloading contests, period music and dance, traditional crafts, historic camps and trading, canoe rides on the Tippecanoe River and more. It is open to the general public from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday on the grounds of the Fulton County Historical Society, four miles north of Rochester at U.S. 31 and County Road 375 North. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-11 and free for children 5 and younger.
